Ok, someone out there thinks I’m writing a cookbook?
Well, here is just a little tid bit about me, Stacey Dash. I hate the kitchen. Can I cook? Absofuckinglutely. Do I like to cook? Absofuckinglutely not.
So… No cook book.
Now back to what I am doing today, something I feel is very important to the soul. Retreating. Rejuvenating. Surrendering. As I sit here waiting for answers to many things going on in my life right now. I need to hear a word from God. So I will be STILL…
For me this is a challenge.
He loves it when we come to Him for answers.
Everyone should do this more often.
I try to have a conversation with Him (at least me speaking to Him) many times a day.
And when He answers, you will know it….. God Bless!!
That’s one of the most difficult things to do, sitting in the waiting room. I’ve spent most of my life in there. I hate it.
The practice of stillness is a beautiful concept . Please try to embrace it. It will bring you so much peace.
Being still is SOOO hard for me. I hate to wait, my nature is to hustle and make things happen, to go get it! But when you are angry or hurt it is best to be still. Decisions made from a place of anger or hurt can make things worse.
I like to write as well. I’ve learned that “…if whenever I write, I need the space to say whatever I like” (Jay-Z, Kingdom Come). Anyway, this sometimes works for me. I’ll be still as you spoke upon. Once I’ve got my first thought,I write it down. Leave it and come back to it. After I’ve read it this time many thoughts should be brewing for me to connect to the latter.
I know what you mean. I have started a new chapter in my life and now i am waiting on the words and direction of God as well.
My mind is so loud with 24-7 “what ifs, and the should have(nots), to do lists, and the oh sh*t i forgot to do that”.. being still for me is impossible but sometimes we’re just forced to sit there and listen cause its the only way to refocus and learn how to turn all those thoughts in our minds into one MASTERMIND.
If you were to cook on that off chance day what would you cook? hehee
1 Peter 5:7 says “Cast all your anziety on him because he cares for you”.
Sometimes when you are being still, if you will talk with him and tell him your specific issues and how they are all related to each other because they all affect each other and tell him any timelines that are worrying you etc, you have now given it over to him……..now just keep moving…..afterall, doesn’t he want your burdens?
Matthew 11:28 says “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest”.
